maisons x sports = onchain as the ultimate destination
we're seeing designers working with athletes at a scale like never before -- LV with Jude Bellingham, Carlos Alcaraz; Martine Rose with USWNT.
to me, this reads:
maisons are willing to and have the vision to craft new cultural narratives and connect seemingly unconnectable dots.
we'll continue to appreciate the way they are able to consistently reimagine what wearable culture means; and onchain media is going to continue to evolve and take on many forms.
maisons x sports is a strong indicator of their willingness to experiment in new arenas - and i am confident that onchain collectible culture will be a very important part of their endeavours.
we saw glimpses of it a few years ago. and in 2024/2025, we will see every single brand start crafting different narratives on physical goods and digital artifacts e.g. collecting fashion show as "originals", collecting musings from creative directors etc.
...fully embracing crypto as way to store, share and capture cultural value forever.

this exact moment is 缘.
When that serendipity turns into something more, then it becomes 缘分.
This concept is objectively easy, spiritually intriguing.
Inspired by @July's cast that sparked a conversation around the concept of 缘.

1 mint = ~$2 (incl. gas fees)
3 mints/day x $2 = $6/day
**$6/day x 30 days = $180/month**
$180/month x 12 months = $2160/year
-------------
vs monthly "wants" if ~$180 (not my actual list):
netflix standard = $16
spotify premium = $11
amazon prime = $15
rideshare+ = $10
gym membership / classpass = $100
????????? =$28

1 or 2 great, some good, mostly bad.

i've been trying to channel the "creator" energy over the past few months. although i've created more than ever (it was 0 previously), i'm still very much a consumer at heart -- and that's ok.
my main form of crypto consumerism is collecting. on average, i mint about 2 - 3 creations every day and this has become my daily routine.
i take the time to find what i feel is *mintworthy*, this could mean that:
- i want to share them with my peers
- it gives me goosebumps (Oppenheimer's Can You Hear the Music makes me feel this way)
i probably, albeit subconsciously, optimise for similar experiences/feelings when i use non-crypto products and platforms;; it's merely the "what" and "how" that have changed - and my gut tells me this is probably going to be the same for many crypto participants.
