Web2 - Wealth accumulation at the top, extractivism, appropriation, free content and unpaid digital labour for the profit of a select few, exploration of subjective capital, no fair redistribution. IF lucky, some limited monetization in Web2 socials yet always conditional.

Web3 - decentralization, redistribution, transparency and fairness, all labor and content compensated and redistributed with tokens that become fiat.

If the economic model and system of Web2 is happening on chain, I’m sorry, it is still Web2 vibes no matter how much “formal decentralization” is involved.

Oh and if your DAO is also in a top down structure AND people who have more tokens have more voting power, it’s giving reproduction of top down capitalism structure just the same. Exclusionary af and the opposite of what the technology is actually good for.
