This enormous Hungarian bird is capable of destroying whole armies and eating their entire stock of horses. Despite its enormous talons and sharp beak, it appears as a guardian and protector to pregnant women. Hungarian women used to carry falcons inside their yurts during childbirth to honour the great Turul.
