this piece is very similar to _alt_ with a wilder palette and more of the original image visible. this glitch abstract started out as a close up of glitter in a bag, distorted and then dithered.
repetition is a common theme in my work, as seen in pieces like _new wave_. _pathway_ shows a very early iteration of _untitled_ where i was playing around with scaling, a typical starting point i use for glitch abstracts, and found a neat pattern formed by stacking the image on top of itself. this experiment ended up evolving into the zoom in effect found in the original with slightly less jarring colors.
