Echoing @CC2Ventures: The secret to qualifying for every airdrop is to cover all bases. Nobody knows the criteria (except team insiders), and competition is tougher with more bots.

Following easily replicated routes may get you flagged as a bot, making rank checkers useless—they rely on metrics that projects may ignore.

With more bots than ever, projects are setting smarter eligibility criteria to filter them out. The key to being eligible?

Interact with a protocol in every way possible until they have no reason to exclude you—unless they label you a Sybil.

Consistent interaction is crucial.

Projects value early and loyal users, but dislike airdrop farmers who extract value with low-quality transactions. Time for a mindset shift: We are not airdrop farmers, but Power DeFi users with strong on-chain footprints.

Airdrops are controversial; even Vitalik shared 4 guiding principles recently. I shared my thoughts here:

No one would do @Mint_Blockchain's mainnet campaign as they're sick of another farming campaign. So I'm going all in since there's lower competition for this airdrop. While gas costs < $0.01, some quests are expensive and I shared how much I paid to complete these 6 quests:

Overview of SuperFest:

I stopped doing testnet campaigns as 90% are a waste of time. But I couldn’t ignore this one: @cronos_chain zkEVM’s Galxe campaign only has 2k+ participants (ends 1 July). To gain an edge and be one of the top wallets, here’s how I completed the hardest task (only 175 have done it):

This quest has a crazy lockup period, but 20 NILE is < $20.

There are 2 transactions to complete for this task:

Rabby's Free Gas feature is great for newcomers, but horrible for airdrop hunters like me who have gas on 40+ blockchains.

But I finally found the best route to get the Free Gas badge on DeBank:

The key idea of this strategy is to:

❍ Bridge over a small amount of gas tokens to a network with cheap gas
❍ Swap that token to another one via a DEX to trigger the Free Gas feature

If you have multiple wallets, it’s best not to use the same route.

1. Be Early
Using a protocol in its early stages always pays off big time.

Previously, I used a non-Ledger wallet for my DeFi activities, and I interacted with LayerZero for the Polyhedra airdrop.

I received 35.2 ZRO which I cannot complain about since it gives me a decent gas refund.

2. Be Adventurous
My RFP allocations were solid just by interacting with the LayerZero ecosystem.

Some of my allocations came from projects which I'm sure few interacted with:

Core
Gas.zip
Telos Bridge
Hubble
My only regret is that I did not explore the LayerZero ecosystem even more as there were many protocols with decent RFP allocations.

3. Be Organic
ZK and ZRO ushered in the new airdrop meta:

Prioritising real users.

Gone are the days of spamming transactions and getting airdrops.

Projects want to reward real users while removing bots.

So long as you interact with projects organically, you will be rewarded.

Another tokenless BTC L2 launched a campaign with only 5.5k participants (ends 9 June).

Gas fees on this network cost <$0.01 and only 2 quests require on-chain tasks, so this is a must-do for me.

Here's how I completed this campaign with $15:

Bsquared is a BTC L2 with undisclosed seed funding from @OKX_Ventures, @hashkey_capital, and more.

Their latest campaign on Intract has 7 quests, with only 2 that require on-chain tasks.

But before completing them, do this first to avoid wasting your funds on unnecessary gas fees:

Similar to other new L2s, MetaMask’s default gas setting overestimates the fees required to send a transaction on Bsquared.

If you’re using MM, changing the default gwei to 0.0011 significantly reduces the gas fees you pay.

I paid < $0.01 per transaction, including minting each NFT after completing the social tasks.

Probably the easiest 150 LXP you'll ever earn from a Linea campaign (ends 4 June).

Here’s the route I used to complete all 3 tasks:

For the second task, you can lock LYNX for the minimum period (2 weeks) and still get verified.

It takes ≥ 15 minutes before your tasks get verified, so you may want to wait a while before verifying on Intract.

Gas fees on Linea have reduced significantly after blobs were introduced, so most transactions cost < $0.50.

Forma presents another easy interaction for Hyperlane, but the genesis NFT is expensive (~ $5).

Is this NFT worth the investment or just another letdown like Rari Chain?

I break down why I decided to mint it and shared the cost breakdown for this NFT:

Bridge fee: 0.0288 TIA ($0.30)
Mint fee: 0.5 TIA ($5.25)
Gas fee: 0.0060870744 TIA ($0.06)

Total fees paid: $5.61

This reminds me of @RariChain where they milked everyone with NFT mints at ridiculous prices.
