this drawing was made on a beach i had never been before, very far away from my country
the colour of the water was unreal and fresh, i was sitting in a long land of sand mainly surrounded by talkative seagulls with grumpy faces
this was the first time i ever saw the Pacific ocean
months later i ended up living and working in a faraway desert for a while
nothing around but mountains, rocks and crazy dead trees
a geologist there told me that very long ago, that desert was fully covered
by the Indian ocean
both my leaf and this desert tree leaves were a distant result of two oceans, now together in this picture
