Out of the dark sky, lights beaming, they touch down slow.
The Aliens are finally here, with their beautiful cosmic glow.
No need to hide, no need to run,
They aren't here to fight, they just want to have fun.

In the silent cold night, the train glides by,
across the tracks, beneath the lit sky.

Streaking through, to a destination unknown,
the train ignites, into the twilight zone.

The birth of shadows is a sight to behold.

The books rest upon the windows ledge,
tomes of knowledge and entertainment once lovingly read.

Now they sit, waiting for passersby,
to grace their pages once again, with a new pair of eyes.

beneath the endless darkened skies.

The people have left, the noise subsides,
as the water laps due to the relentless tides.
The night is a time for rest and respite,
as tomorrow will return the screams of human delight.
