I had a cat named Monkey. She passed away last year but I had her for 18 years. My brother found her in Alabama as a stray kitten. He was eating a banana and bent down to offer it to her and she was so hungry she started licking it, so he knew what name she needed. My cat had just passed and I was in the second grade, so he drove over and gave her to me. When Monkey passed we buried her in the backyard and after we buried her I looked at my mom and was like, isn't that where our banana tree was when I was younger? We bother cried. Then went to a local plant nursery and got a banana tree and planted it near her. Rest in peace Monkey
