If Spotify would pay artists appropriately, we independent artists, could live APPROPRIATELY making music for the people that loves our music. For real for real. My yearly streams would cover my rent, food and studio in Berlin comfortably. If stream platforms didn’t operate as they do, I’d have already recouped the 120.000 Euros in advances for the total of for 4 albums I’ve released with my old label between 2003 and 2013. We need legislation asap. We need Spotify to be held accountable and for our royalties to be adjusted.
