In 2019 I was invited to paint a mural in the "Museo Nacional de la Estampa" in CDMX on the occasion of the commemoration of the 100 years of the assassination of the revolutionary Emiliano Zapata. The focus of the exhibition was to pay tribute as well as highlight the social struggles still pending. For this project I developed the image of "Zapatadelita", placing the face of Emiliano Zapata on the body of Adela Velarde, the nurse of the revolution who inspired the famous corrido "Adelita". Through this image I seek to highlight the struggle of people whose bodies are trenches in a world that does not recognize other ways of being, feeling and identifying.
