Some observations on Zora’s secondary market
· A compelling innovation for both creators and collectors
· Market commences 24 hours after a post reaches 200 mints
· Immediate liquidity via Uniswap pool
· Initial secondary pricing is cheapest so better to be early
· Prices fluctuate based on buy-and-sell activity
· Already seeing artists pricing new creations in the token of a previous one
· Visits to Zora's secondary page is a must after time away from computer
· Greater visibility into secondary markets will be welcomed as they arrive
The creating and collecting continues!
Peacefully,

Mint duration: One month with secondary market to follow.
Footnote: Current owners of “Periodic Drop” (under a previous Zora contract) will receive this updated version.
The Minterview Question
Given “the First Minter feature is no longer available for new posts on Zora,” SeeingBlue is exploring ways to reward early collectors of new work. Currently leaning toward the following work flow (on mints of ✧111 Sparks 0.000111 ETH) for the First 2 Minters (other than SeeingBlue):
· Notification of mint by Minter #1 is received
· Mint five (5) of same from their activity resulting in Minter #1 receiving referral reward of 5 x ✧22 Sparks (0.0000222 ETH)
· Notification of mint by Minter #2 is received
· Mint five (5) of same from their activity resulting in Minter #2 receiving referral reward of 5 x ✧22 Sparks (0.0000222 ETH)
The above results in a bonafide free mint for the First 2 Minters. This post will serve as a test of this approach.

1 Secondary Equals
Some observations on Zora’s recent protocol upgrade:
· Introduction of secondary markets feels historic
· Lower mint fee reduces contemplation time
· Mint quantity is renewed consideration
· Few barriers to content experimentation
· Hoping there’s a First Minter retirement party
The creating and collecting continues!

First Commenter
Tinkering with a set of commitments for those that decide to be First Minter (and first collector) on a creation by SeeingBlue.
Current List*
• NFT joins existing collection (unless otherwise noted)
• SeeingBlue will mint (not airdrop) at least three (3) during mint window
• Bonus NFT from SeeingBlue sent to your wallet
*Not yet final and subject to revisions and updates
Footnote: While not yet live, some experiments with this concept are currently in progress.
Benefactor Benefits
Suppose you went for a walk yesterday and visited at a museum.
While there, you admired a growing collection of art.
When you went to leave, you exited through the gift shop. As you did, you saw original works for sale, but they were marked at postcard prices.
Would you tell anyone? Or would you just make the purchase?
That was my experience yesterday.
Except the museum was digital.

How often do you edit gas when minting?
This note might quickly pay for itself if you adjust gas lower (ex. From market to low) on those transactions not time sensitive.
At a minimum, it’s worth exploring.
You could even test it now.
Footnote: Transactions do take a bit longer to confirm, but there’s a peacefulness in that moment.

Tidying Up
Unless a mint is boosted by the creator, it’s not a free mint.
It’s something else.
More clarity and consistency is needed.
Sooner is better.

The Metadata Dilemma
That’s a mere mouse click.
Make something every day.
Now therein lies the rub.
Resolved for the year ahead.
More making.
No pressure for daily.
But a scheduling bias toward it.
First thing.
Like dawn.
Footnote: Setting mint duration at one year, as a timed reflection reminder.

Creating an NFT involves a series of decisions, including navigating the complexities of the "Mint Window Dilemma." Given the constraints, four distinct mint window types emerge based on the interplay between mint duration and edition size:
● Airdrop Mint - Characterized by a large number of NFTs minted to a single or multiple addresses during a short duration
● Infinite Mint - Sometimes referred to as “free and forever,” this mint sustains popularity with collectors and remains perpetually open with no end date
● Niche Mint - Includes 1/1s or small quantities available to be minted in a tight time frame
● Hidden Mint - Akin to an Infinite Mint, but yet to be discovered by collectors and potentially encompassing work not yet brought onchain by a First Minter
We can expect to encounter all four mint windows, and their variations, as experimentation continues at the intersection of scarcity and rarity.
