This entire album was capturing my experiences during college and I think no other song in our catalog does a better job of exhibiting that youthful openness to the world than a song that makes no fuckin grammatical sense. I mean, what the hell was I thinking? The song isn’t “Thank you” or “Big thanks to you” it’s just “BIG THANK.” Honestly, I felt like that is a real testimate to the headspace I was in when I was 19 and I know there are still aspects of that “language is fluid!! no rules no masters!! art doesn’t have to make sense!!” that I let myself lean into when I feel the most dialed into my creativity. It feels good to keep that version of me alive and I hope this orchestral rendition of it can remind you to do the same, even while listening to something that feels so rooted in classical music. This album ignited our career and giving it its flowers as we transition into the next KYB album brings me real pride, not just in the music, but in the fact that we’re still here getting to share this with you.
